The park was built to memorialize 14-year-old Reid Menzer, who was hit by a car while street luging in January 2006. The property, located at Veterans Memorial Park, was donated by the city. Numerous others donated time, services and money to build the much-anticipated skatepark. The park is now open for skateboards and in-line skaters daily from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. The park is free and open to the public, and offers York area skaters a much-needed venue to practice their sport without being hassled by the authorities.

O.K. If you are into cycling or triathlons....om..... you just found nirvana. Lift the bikes with your little finger. (Their weight is measured in GRAMS). Drool. It's O.K. Save your pennies and someday you might just buy a Kuota Carbon Sculpture bicycle. Paste this link into your browser just to get a taste. http://www.cadencecycling.com/products/triathlon/bicycles%5Fframesets/Kuota/K%2DFactor/ P.S. - They will also measure every part of your anatomy during a four hour bicycle fitting session. Here's how they put it: "Our coaches work intimately with the world's top ergonomists, physiologists, and riders to constantly refine and improve our fit methodology." This is extreme. This is heaven. You and your bike are one. This is the shop that provided equipment to Brian Duffy who won the Sprint Triathalon World Championships in Hamburg, Germany.

The CCGH is loosely run with an easy atmosphere of people helping people. To listen in on conversations one might hear hints on paddling a particular stream; how to improve a paddler's stroke, reliving the last party or camp out or a tip on how to properly cook a hot dog over a campfire. Don't own a canoe? The Club has canoes and kayaks to lend members. Before buying any equipment consult a club member, he or she will gladly give you their opinion and best recommendations, from experience. Many of our members are enjoying the growing sport of kayaking as well, so come join our diverse group of recreational and whitewater boaters.

Aikido is a Japanese martial art that fosters the individual's ability to harmonize with their environment. It was developed by Morihei Ueshiba (1883-1969), an exceptional Japanese martial artist whose background included the study of jiujitsu, especially daitoryu-(aiki)jujitsu, sword fighting and spear fighting. He wanted to develop an art that would be an art of peace (Aikido) rather than an art of war (Aikibudo). Aikido opens us up to the bombnatives to conflict. It shows how to deal with violence without escalating into greater violence. THE BALTIMORE AIKIDO DOJO IS IS TOP NOTCH.

A great place to enjoy life is on Lake Clarke. The lake is in Lancaster County with York County on the west shore line. Lake Clarke was formed in 1931 when the Safe Harbor Dam was built on the Susquehanna River. The dam, in addition to storing water for hydroelectric-generating plant, bombd an 11.5 square-mile lake that over the years has developed into one of Pennsylvania's prime recreation areas, especially for water-sports enthusiasts.
